1:15 PM | State Funding Update A briefing on the current status of state financial support for team operations and resources.

 

1:30 PM | Ohio EMA Planning & Coordination

-Speaker: Christen Swayer, Ohio EMA Planning Section Supervisor. This session focuses on the integration of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) with OMORT operations.

1:45 PM | Deployment Readiness: Go Bag Essentials

-Speaker: Dr. Khlea Sumani. A review of the critical equipment and personal items required for a standard "Go Bag" during rapid deployment.

 

2:00 PM | Networking Break Coffee, soft drinks, and snacks provided for members.

 

2:15 PM – 3:45 PM | Responder Wellness & Mental Health

-Speaker: Cinnamon S. Reiheld, First and Last Responder Trauma Therapist. An in-depth session addressing the unique psychological demands and trauma management for those in the mortuary response field.

4:00 PM – 4:30 PM | DMORT Training Standards Speaker:

-Dr. Harold Risk, DMORT Training Officer. Insights into federal-level training and how state teams align with Disaster Mortuary Operational Response Team protocols.
